Escondido Transportation and Commuting

There are two highways that provide easy access to Escondido - Route 78 and I-15. Local bus service for Escondido is offered by North County Transit District; Escondido Transit Center is the hub and connects to the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System and the Riverside Transit Agency. The Sprinter Light Rail system connects to the Coaster, the Metrolink Orange County Line and the Metrolink IEOC Line. Amtrak rail service is through the Pacific Surfliner rail line. The nearest airport is San Diego International Airport.
